I’ve been to weddings….. but never so directly connected as my daughter’s wedding just the other day, July 1st.
My baby, who is also a journalist, Courtney Carter (at News12theBronx) married Evan De Jesus in Great Neck Long Island, and now I have a son-in-law.
I was a nervous wreck, and almost cried walking Courtney down the aisle, and almost during our dance, BUT I was able to hold strong. Just three days after the wedding, I had my daughter appear with me on WABC radio, in an interesting conversation on why weddings are so important, and why they are so emotional. This was the rehearsal dinner.
I’m glad I lived to see this day.
