Children in hospitals are VERY emotional for me. Our son often spent time in his pajamas as a patient at NYU Hospital at about the same age, asking:

“Daddy I just want to go home”

It’s tough as a parent. In fact it breaks your heart when you are spending the night in your son’s hospital room to be with him, because you can’t do anything else about the situation. However friends, always, always remember that God is Good. Family members would come and stay overnight with Dominic, and I am just bursting with pride that Dominic never gave up. Dominic is now a college graduate.

Epilepsy is still part of his existence. It has not been easy. Me, Courtney, and Marilyn meeting at the emergency room in the middle of the night because Dominic had just had a seizure. The snitches from falls during seizures, the surgical procedures.
