This is not SWAT on TV or in Hollywood. They have to handle real life emergency police situations, which includes mental response calls. They don’t get to pick and choose. Our Police are expected to de-escalate a situation, but it could go terribly wrong. One bad mistake, and that officer could leave in a body bag.
